Simpsons star Jodie Foster

Jodie Foster and Anne Hathaway are set to voice characters on 'The Simpsons'.

The 'Silence of the Lambs' actress will be lend her voice to an adult version of Maggie, the youngest member of Springfield's most famous family, in an episode entitled 'Four Great Women and A Manicure'.

The programme will be aired in the US in early 2009 as part of the animated show's 20th season.

This will be the first time Maggie has properly spoken on the TV show. She previously said the word 'Daddy' in one episode - which was voiced by screen legend Elizabeth Taylor.

Anne - who is most famous for starring in Disney movies 'The Princess Diaries' and 2006 magazine-based comedy 'The Devil Wears Prada' alongside Meryl Streep - will join the cast in an episode called 'The Good, the Sad and the Drugly'.

The 25-year-old beauty will be voicing a "new, sweet and caring character" that Bart Simpson falls for, and attempts to change himself into a "good Samaritan" to woo her.

The Simpsons, created Matt Groening, follows the Simpson family - parents Homer and Marge and children Bart, Lisa and Maggie - as they lead their eventful daily lives.
Other celebrities who have voiced characters in the show include Britney Spears, Danny DeVito, Sting, Sir Paul McCartney and Christina Ricci.

Jodie Foster pregnant?

Jodie Foster has sparked rumours she is pregnant.

The 'Brave One' actress, who split from lesbian lover Cydney Bernard in May after a 14-year relationship, displayed an apparent baby bump in a tight purple sundress while out in Los Angeles over the weekend.

An onlooker said: "Jodie definitely looked bigger than she usually does. Her stomach was enlarged and her breasts looked as though they had grown as well.

"She was glowing though. She didn't have any make-up on and she still looked beautiful."

The 45-year-old actress is widely reported to have conceived sons Kit, seven, and 10-year-old Charlie by in vitro fertilisation with the late homosexual film director Randy Stone, who died of heart-related problems in February.

However, Jodie has always refused to disclose her sons' father's identity.

The actress recently revealed she is pleased she had sons because she found it easier to relate to them.
She said: "Boys are easy. I mean, there are just a lot of bruises when they're young. With boys, you get a lot of accidental jabs in the eye and stepping on your feet, and those tantrums they cause when they don't want to leave the toy store."

Jodie Foster's 25m split

Jodie Foster's split with Cydney Bernard may cost her $25 million.

The 'Silence of the Lambs' star separated from Cydney, her partner of 14 years, in May to start a relationship with writer Cynthia Mort, 51, and reports now suggest she could lose a quarter of her estimated $100 million in alimony payments.

According to the National Enquirer magazine, Cydney could legally ask for the massive sum because half of Jodie's fortune was made when they were together.

Jodie, 45, is reportedly keen to keep Cydney, 54, happy in order to avoid losing the sum, and Cydney is being allowed to live rent free in one of the actress' homes.

The Oscar-winning actress is also allowing Cydney to regularly visit Jodie's sons Charles, nine, and six-year-old Kit, as well as giving her an annual six-figure payment.

A source said: "She wants Cydney and Cynthia to be friends. Jodie realises that if Cydney perceives them to be one big happy family, she'd never sue for half her assets."

Jodie - who has never revealed the identity of her children's father - and Cydney were reportedly seen together in Tokyo earlier this week, where the actress is promoting her new movie 'Nim's Island'.
