David and Victoria Beckham add another A-lister to their circle as they dine with Madonna in Los Angeles

David and Victoria Beckham continued their relentless pursuit of A-list friends last night as they took the Queen of Pop, Madonna, out for dinner.

The trio bonded over a meal at celebrity haunt Nobu, one of the couple's favourite Los Angeles restaurants.

Posh has long been a fan of the Material Girl - just last month she was photographed wearing a retro Madonna tour T-shirt .
The singer, who split from husband Guy Ritchie last month, is the city on a short break from her gruelling Sticky & Sweet world tour which will resume in Houston on Sunday.

She is the latest celebrity to be charmed by the Beckhams, who have proved to be impressive social networkers in recent years.

They've enjoyed double dates with Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and her basketballer husband Tony Parker and also often keep company with actress Kate Beckinsale and her director husband Len Wiseman.

Posh regularly takes the couple's sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz for play dates with singer Gwen Stefani's young family.

She has also won over Heidi Klum and their friendship led to her guest appearance on the supermodel's popular fashion show, Project Runway, last season.

But not all attempts at fostering high profile comrades have been as successful.

Victoria caused a paparazzi frenzy when she posed up with Jennifer Lopez at a Marc Jacobs fashion show in New York in September.

The two held hands and hugged but skeptics branded it a blatant photo opportunity, with fellow guest Kelly Osbourne observing at the time: 'I’ve never seen two people pretend to like each other more in my life.'

Posh and J.Lo have not been seen together since.

The Beckhams were also famously close to Hollywood power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes after making the move to America last year, but the friendship appears to have cooled in recent times.

Sources say the friendship went off the boil largely because of the Beckhams’ reluctance to join the Church of Scientology.

Perhaps Kabbalah will be a better fit.

Posh shows she can cope with being a soccer mom alone as David plans move to Milan

Victoria Beckham showed she is more than ready to cope with soccer mom duties alone as she cheered her oldest son Brooklyn on as he took part in a football match.

While David plans a winter move to Italian side AC Milan, the 34-year-old adjusted to being a single soccer mother as she sat pitch-side to watch her eldest son.

The mother-of-three dressed down in jeans and a white T-shirt with the words ‘What comes around goes around’ emblazoned across it and swapped her usual high-heels for flip-flops as she mingled with fellow mothers.

Nine-year-old Brooklyn - who spent some of the game on the bench - was already showing signs of father David Beckham's footballing talent as he raced across the field confidently.

And Victoria appears to already to be getting used to doing things on her own before David plans to decamp to Italy, as the family have no plans to move back to Europe.

Beckham has told reporters that he has his wife's full support after it was revealed that he will return to Europe after signing for AC Milan.

But a source told Closer magazine that Victoria does have some concerns about David being so far away in the glamorous Italian city.

The last time David was separated from his family for a long period - in 2004 when he was playing for Real Madrid - there were allegations of an affair with his then PA, Rebecca Loos.

David, 33, insisted that he would not uproot his family again.

‘Just because I'm playing in Europe it doesn't mean that the whole family has to again re-route.

‘I've obviously discussed it with Victoria. I'll be playing there, she'll be there as much as possible and so will the kids, but obviously the kids have got school and Victoria has got her own work to do,’ he added.

‘We've not decided the details yet but the family will be there as much as possible because I think that's important.’

However, Victoria expressed fears that David's devotion to his family will ruin his health trying to maintain a long-distance marriage, with constant flying back an forth.

A source told Closer: 'She's worried about David as he struggles to criss-cross the globe and feels it'll only get worse.

'Victoria knows he'll be lonely without the family and will try to come home all the time and exhaust himself.'

The footballer is moving to Milan on loan from his club, LA Galaxy, after England coach Fabio Capello said he could not be considered for the World Cup qualifiers unless he was playing club football in Europe at the time.

He will spend between two and four months there, starting in January.

Victoria Beckham's champagne binge

Victoria Beckham spent over £8,000 on champagne in one night last week.

The former Spice Girl enjoyed dinner with friends at the Ithaca restaurant in Manchester and her party made its' way through twelve £650 bottles of Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs champagne.

Victoria was treating her management team and 20 perfume consultants to a night out ahead of the launch of her new fragrance 'Signature'.

Arnie Hira, owner of the Japanese restaurant, said: "Suffice to say that everyone said they had a great time at the restaurant and said they would definitely come again."

Victoria and her guests ate a selection of fine dishes including Chilean sea bass, Wagyu beef and soft shell crab.

The 34-year-old star - whose soccer star husband David used to play for Manchester United - reportedly chose the eatery after discovering Jay-Z and Kanye West were recent diners

The day after her luxury meal, Victoria made an appearance at Harvey Nichols department store in Manchester where she greeted fans and officially launched the new fragrance.
As well as promoting her scent, Victoria also spoke about her new fashion collection, saying: "They're very sexy dresses. Full-length frocks and bold colours - stuff that makes women feel good. I'm just showing it to a collection of magazine journalists and boutique retailers because I want to start off small and see what the reaction is. I really hope people will like it."

The Beckham's 'Signature' brand perfume and aftershave are available now.
