Keira Knightley Slams Paparazzi....

British actress Keira Knightley has hit out at photographers who follow her - because too much attention is not good for her film career.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star insists the biggest stars are hardly ever pictured in public, and that over-exposure of Hollywood A-listers puts people off seeing their movies.

And she claims some snappers deliberately hurl insults at her to try to provoke a reaction and get a better picture.

She says, "I know that I am very lucky, but sometimes the intrusion is a very predatory force. When you are leaving your front door and paparazzi who are a lot bigger than you are shouting, 'You're a whore' to try and make you cry - that obviously is not great.

"I am told by a lot of the paparazzi who follow me that they are helping my career but, by that logic, Paris Hilton should be the biggest box-office catch in the world and she isn't."

And Knightley adds: "It is not good for any actor when your life becomes the story because, in your acting work, you are trying to tell a different story.

What's more, there is actual proof that if actors get too much attention, people just don't go and see the film. That sort of over-exposure is something to be wary of."

Keira Knightley finished with Pirates

Keira Knightley has no intention of starring in a new 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie.

The 23-year-old actress - who has played Elizabeth Swann in three films in the Disney franchise - admits even if producers ask her to reprise her role alongside Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom for a fourth film, she would turn them down.

When asked if she would ever consider doing another 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film, Keira told US TV show 'Access Hollywood': "I think it was wonderful and an amazing opportunity and those films were just extraordinary and I was extremely lucky to be a part of them. But no. I think my pirating days may be over."

Keira starred in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' in 2003, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' in 2006 and 2007's 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End'.

The brunette beauty can currently be seen starring alongside Ralph Fiennes in new period drama 'The Duchess', in which she plays Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire.

Keira recently revealed she was "honoured" to star in the movie.

She said: "It was so incredible to actually be given this role. It was so incredible. There are relatively few leading roles for women, so to actually have one land on your doorstep was fantastic. The fact that people are now liking it is so exciting, so I don't think you can ask for anything more than that."

Keira Knightley reigns at premiere

Keira Knightley wowed the crowd at the world premiere of 'The Duchess' last night (03.09.08).

The stunning 23-year-old actress - who wore a strapless blue dress and Chanel jewellery - signed autographs for screaming fans as she walked down the red carpet in London's Leicester Square.

Keira revealed her costumes for the film - in which she plays Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire - were far less comfortable than her outfit choice for the glitzy event.

She told BANG Showbiz: "It was fantastic wearing the costumes in the film. Georgiana was a huge fashion icon in the 18th Century so it was so important we got the costumes right.

"I think they were like an armour for her, she was an incredibly vulnerable character. They were obviously integral to the film.

"Not very comfortable, but very beautiful."

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star also revealed she loves portraying spirited characters.
She added: "I find strong women more interesting to play. I also think you rarely get the opportunity to work with other women in films so I always find it great to work with other actresses."

The premiere was also attended by Keira's co-stars Ralph Fiennes, who plays the Duke of Devonshire in the film, and Dominic Cooper

Keira's movie wind

Keira Knightley couldn't stop belching during the filming of 'The Duchess'.

The 23-year-old actress - who stars as Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire, in the new movie - admits continuously wearing an array of corseted outfits played havoc with her digestive system.

She said: "Big frocks, big hair, big jewels, tight corsets - all very restrictive. The worst part is after lunch because they really don't help your digestion. My co-star Hayley Atwell and I were there playing these very ladylike characters but we were belching all over the place!"

Keira also said it took her a while to get used to the incredibly tall wigs her character required.

She added: "Georgiana was a massive fashion icon who designed her own clothes, so they are absolutely extraordinary. You had to be stitched in and cut out which is how they would have done it. And the wigs were like bird cages, made out of metal and stuck to your head with hair over the top.

"I couldn't hold my head up and they built me a wooden stand between takes so I could rest the wig on it. As everyone was walking past they would shout, 'Timber!' I was like, 'Thanks for the support, guys!' "

Keira Knightley's Oscar fears

Keira Knightley would "s**t herself" if she won an Oscar.

'The Duchess' actress, who has been tipped for Academy Award glory next year for her role in the period drama, is terrified at the thought of accepting the accolade if she does triumph.

She said: "I would probably s**t myself if I had to give a speech."

Keira also revealed she was worried about accepting the role of Georgiana Spencer in 'The Duchess' in case people didn't take her seriously and she felt like a "w***er" wearing a wig.

The 23-year-old star added: "There is always an element of fear that you are not going to be able to make people believe in the fiction, that suddenly you are going to be standing there in your dress and wig, and feel like a complete w***er. Which is not particularly helpful.

Keira Knightley Never Considered Diana Movie Link.

Keira Knightley Never Considered Diana Movie Link....

Keira Knightley only realised there was a connection between her new movie The Duchess and Diana, Princess Of Wales after the film was criticised for using footage of the late royal in a promo.

In the new film, Knightley plays Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, a distant relation of Diana - who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

Bosses behind the picture have come under fire for using shots of the late Princess in a trailer for the film and emphasising the link between the lead character and her modern-day descendant.

But Knightley insists she didn't know anything about the Diana connection when making the movie - and admits she doesn't even know that much about the late royal because she was so young when she died.

She says, "I was only 11 when Diana died, so I don't really know much about her story. It didn't even occur to me to portray Georgiana as Diana, as I wasn't conscious of the similarities, and nobody suggested I should. I was always Georgiana, never Diana".

Keira Knightley's nappy sex

Keira Knightley's co-star wore a flesh-coloured nappy for their sex scene in their new movie.

The 23-year-old actress collapsed in a fit of giggles when Dominic Cooper, 30, stepped out in the unflattering underwear for 'The Duchess'.

Keira said: "We are all meant to be supportive of each other in these difficult and embarrassing scenes, but I took one look at him and just lost it.

"I couldn't stop laughing because Dominic was trying to be dignified and aloof while looking completely ridiculous. The director came over and said, 'Pull yourself together. This is serious work.' "

Despite being embarrassed by Keira's reaction, Dominic admits his costume was not the most attractive of items.

He said: "On screen, it looks as if I am naked, but in reality I was wearing a flesh-coloured nappy which is held in place by being taped to my inner sanctum.

"And what did Keira do when she saw me? She burst out laughing. Unbelievable!"
