Guy Pearce's Batman ambition

Guy Pearce wants to star in the next Batman film.

The Australian actor - who worked with 'The Dark Knight' director Christopher Nolan on 'Memento'- wouldn't usually be interested in playing a comic book character, but would love to reunite with Nolan.

He said: "I'd love to work with Chris again. There hasn't been any discussion, we'll have to wait and see.

"I have a lot of reluctance to playing a superhero or villain, but doing it with someone like Chris Nolan would certainly make it appealing."

Johnny Depp is rumoured to be starring as supervillain The Riddler in the next installment in the franchise.
