You can't go out like that, Mum! Lorraine Kelly's neckline plunges at awards... but teen daughter Rosie goes demure

Her TV career is on a definite high. But when it comes to Lorraine Kelly's necklines, just how low can she go?

The presenter left little to the imagination as she showed off rather more of her decolletage than usual in a plunging white gown.

She was appearing at the Bafta Scotland Awards, in Glasgow, where she collected the prize for most popular presenter.
Her 14-year-old daughter Rosie accompanied her to the event.

She looked a lot more demure than her mother, choosing an elegant little black dress.

On her chat show Miss Kelly, 48, charms both guests and fans with her maternal manner and cosy interviewing style.

Off screen she prefers a much less motherly approach. In fact the more daring the better.

Last year she appeared at the National Portrait Gallery in Scotland in a cleavage-baring black dress that was a challenge to keep up.

At one stage she was forced to haul up the neckline to maintain her dignity.

Miss Kelly joined a host of Scottish stars from film and television for the Bafta Awards show on Sunday night.

She beat Gordon Ramsay, Carol Smillie and STV weatherman Sean Batty to win the most popular presenter award.

Speaking afterwards, a delighted Lorraine was full of praise for the stars she had been up against in the same category.

She said: 'People actually took the time and trouble to vote for me and if you look at the category, if you look at the people I was up against, they were all so brilliant.

'There are some legends in there, so that makes it even more special.'

The presenter also reflected on the depth of talent she believes is in the industry right now.

She said: 'I think we're very lucky right now.

'I think we're having a real kind of golden time, not just in front of camera - because that's all the people that get the attention, whether it be actors or presenters - but I think about the wealth of writing talent and people behind the camera.

'That's where the celebration should be because without that we don't have anything.'

Full Monty actor Robert Carlyle, Cracker star Robbie Coltrane and broadcaster Kirsty Wark were just some of the screen stars who graced the red carpet.

The ceremony, held in front of more than 800 people at the City Halls, was hosted by radio DJ Edith Bowman.
